Frequently asked questions
How does the online Secret Santa draw work?
The organiser adds everyone’s names and shares the link. Each person opens it, picks their own name and spins the wheel. Every name is drawn exactly once, and nobody can draw themselves.
Can anyone see who got whom?
No. The app never stores who drew whom: the result is shown only to the person who spun. Not even the organiser can look it up.
Do participants need to sign up or install an app?
No. It works in any browser, on a phone or a computer. There are no accounts: the shared link is all anyone needs.
Can we set a budget, a deadline and gift wishes?
Yes. The organiser can set a gift budget in any currency, a deadline for the draw and an optional wish list, where everyone can add a gift idea or a link. The wish list is revealed once everyone has drawn.
What happens if someone doesn’t spin before the deadline?
After the deadline, the remaining names are assigned automatically. Anyone who hasn’t spun yet simply sees their person’s name when they open the link.
How much does it cost?
€1 per gift wheel, paid once by the organiser. It’s a small contribution to keep the app running, and everyone in the group uses the wheel for free.
